Mission Statement
Te Ngakau Waiora Mercy Spirituality Centre seeks to create a place for learning and for a deepening relationship with God which fosters the inner search leading to hohourongo – personal, social, and spiritual renewal.
The Centre provides opportunities for:
  • spiritual companionship and retreats
  • honouring the tapu and mana, faith, tradition, story, and experience of each person
  • pursuing whanaungatanga – right relationship with self, others, God, and all of creation
  • developing ways to integrate new awareness and learning into everyday life
  • embracing partnership with tangata whenua in the spirit of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • celebrating liturgical seasons and Earth’s cycles
  • standing communally with the poor and working with them to address structures which cause oppression.
